Australia's education system includes primary, secondary, college and university levels. Australian schools and vocational schools are governed by state law in terms of finance, curriculum, policy and quality management. The high school program in Australia is 12 years long and has 3 different levels: elementary, middle and high school. Below is an overview of the high school education system in Australia.
Primary school - beginning in Kindergarten through 7th or 8th grade. Total study time ranges from 7 to 8 years (depending on state and territory)
High school - starting in grades 7 or 8 to 10. The total time is 3 to 4 years (depending on the state and territory). At this point, students who finish 10th grade can choose between continuing their education in the general education program or choosing vocational training certificates.
High school - includes 11th and 12th grade. The total time is 2 years.
Students will receive a high school diploma after completion of grade 12. Although each state and territory has different names, be assured that these qualifications are valid and level same.

Australia currently has more than 60 public vocational schools, also known as TAFE (Technical and Further Education) and 500 private vocational schools. Coming to TAFE the curriculum will be focused on practicing more than theory, and more importantly, anyone of all ages and different forms of learning can apply for TAFE. 3.1. Bachelor's Degree and Bachelor's Degree

3.2. Postgraduate certificate
For Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma, the study time usually lasts from 6 months to 1 year with full-time study conditions. The subjects in the program will help you improve the knowledge and personal skills you have gained in your undergraduate program.
3.3. Master's Degree (Master’s Degree)
The duration of a Master's degree usually lasts from 1 to 2 years and to qualify for graduation, you will have to complete a coursework or complete a research essay, or combine both options on.
3.4. Doctorate Degree (PhD)
Doctoral degrees are offered at universities in Australia and also the highest degree. Admission requirements include Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in research.
The curriculum usually lasts from 3 to 4 years and graduate education often requires students to write and present their thesis.
